Sherlock Herms Reviews Case Notes – The Dancing Ghosts Conclusion

Hi Pals! Let me be among the first to wish you a Happy Mew Year! 2017 is gonna be a great year. It’s gotta be cuz 2016 was so utterly sucky. Of course I kinda thought 2015 and 2014 were utterly sucky too, so…

Anyway, you’ve made it to the Conclusion of my first case as a purranormal detective. The conclusion of The Dancing Ghosts is special to me because I actually finished it. And I didn’t widdle my floofy britches cuz I was scared.

I hope you will enjoy the final episode of The Dancing Ghosts enough to read all of my purranormal adventures. Believe me it’s been a learning curve and I’m honored that so many of you are following me and my lil sisfur, Dori on Twitter. But don’t just follow. Let’s be furends. I appreciate having so many furends and I look forward to getting to know you in the coming year by visiting your blogs and seeing what you’ve been up to.

Sherlock Herms Reviews Case Notes from The Dancing Ghosts – Part 5

Hi Pals! It’s been an exciting week, getting ready for Santa Paws to slide down the chimbly on Christmas Eve and bring me stuff. This will be Candy’s first Christmas, and already Dori is filling her in on what to expect.

Speaking of what to expect… I hope you are enjoying the Case Notes from my first case, The Dancing Ghosts. In this episode, Dori got starvy cuz our client, Roland Blunden, refused to feed us and Dori forgot to bring her bag of Smittens. There was nothing edible in Blunden’s kitchen. What else could I do but approach Broom Lady who lived across the street to see if she would sell me some food?

Being a hardboiled detective with grit in my blood is hard work. I learned a lot from investigating my first case. Mostly I learned to make sure Dori never again left her Smittens behind.

Best Cat Food Reviews

At my house, everyone is gaining weight…except me, but that’s another story. Since joining our home this summer, Candy has gained 3-4 pounds. Mom says whenever a stray is adopted they will over-eat for the first year, and gain weight. She says that has to do with fear of going hungry again. They are storing up fats. Except once you’re adopted at my house…you’re in for Life.

With that said, if your fur kid is over weight, you may not be feeding them the right food. As you know, there are twelve of us at my house. Some are outside cats, but most of us are indoor kitties. Only Frank is an indoor/outdoor cat, and for the past few months he’s developed a habit of coming in from yard patrol and heading right for the kitchen where he yells to be fed. Mom has been distracted with stuff and has been giving in to him. Except…

Except when Frank eats, the opening of the kibble container is like the ringing of the dinner bell. Everyone comes running for a snack. Candy used to prefer only canned food. She rejected kibble. But now she sits with her head deep inside the kibble container and as a result she’s stretching the limits of her cat suit.

Mom worries about what to feed all of us. If she could afford to, she would feed us the Number 1 Best Ever Selling Cat Food in the Universe. But that ain’t gonna happen. So she’s always interested in learning more about how to feed us and keep us fit and trim, and above all–HEALTHY!

Recently Mom was contacted by Reviews.com with an Infographic Guide on cat food ingredients. They also provided a link to their research process. I think you’ll find it inpurresting. They said they analyzed 1,759 cat food formulas and found only 152 that were produced by a trustworthy brand with high-quality, risk-free ingredients. Gosh! If you’re interested in reading that, click this link to read:  http://www.reviews.com/cat-food/

Sherlock Herms Reviews Case Notes from The Dancing Ghosts – Part 4

Sherlock Herms Purranormal MysteriesHi Pals! It’s been a busy week for me, resting up before Santa Paws slides down the chimbly and brings stuff for my stocking. For me the stocking is the bestest part cuz everything in it is just mine. I don’t have to share wif any of my fur sibs.

Part 4 is where I came face to face with ghosts for the first time. Not just any kind of ghosts… Party ghosts! Dozens of them, eating noms, smoking ciggies and drinking likker. Not to mention the squealy scratchy mewsic that hurt my ears!

The Gift of the Tabby: A Christmas Story

There was no snow that night in Bethlehem, 2000 years ago. Instead the black velvet skies were filled with a breathtaking array of stars. One star in particular had a startling brilliance and shed its light directly over a small, lowly stable. There within lay a newborn child wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger with his bedding made from the clean sweet grasses provided to feed the animals.

Although that long-ago night was cold, the snug stable was warmed by the body heat of the animals that crowded around the tiny child. From the loft a small cat with gray and black stripes watched the shepherds and wise men who arrived to welcome the child.

As the hour grew late, the visitors departed, leaving the new family alone. Only the animals remained, and were welcomed to approach and sniff the baby. One by one they came forward: the mare, the cow and her calf, the mother goat with her twin babies. Only the small cat maintained her distance.

As the night turned colder, the child cried out, rousing the young mother from her sleep. Trying not to disturb her husband, Mary fed her baby, tended to his clothing, and rocked him in her arms. But he would not be soothed.

An hour passed and still he cried. She laid him on her shoulder and patted his back, and sang softly to him. For a moment he ceased his crying to listen, but soon he again wept. In defeat, his mother laid him again in the manger. “I know you are cold,” she whispered, “but I have nothing more to warm you.”

Hearing this, the gray and black striped cat climbed down from the loft to approach the manger. When the young mother did not shoo her away, the cat climbed the manger to gaze down at the child. After a moment of curious inspection, she crept closer to sniff the baby, and then lay down beside the crying child.

The baby’s flailing arms brushed the cat’s silky soft fur. At his touch, the cat began to purr the song her mother had purred to her. And as she purred, the child ceased to cry. His waving hands brushed again and again against the cat’s soft fur. At last soothed by the cat’s purring, the child slept and the cat curled into a sleepy ball beside him.

Watching her child and the cat cuddle together, Mary’s heart swelled with gratitude and she lay her hand in thanks on the striped cat’s head. “Blessings upon you, dear Tabby, for this sweet gift given to me and my child.” And where she touched the cat’s brow, there appeared an M—the sign of the Madonna’s benediction.

From that day forward, all tabbies are honored with a large “M” on their brow for the great service performed that first Christmas night by their ancestor.

May the peace of that first Christmas be with you and yours as you celebrate the birth of the Christ Child.

Sherlock Herms Reviews Case Notes from The Dancing Ghosts – Part 3

Welcome back, pals! I hope you are enjoying a relaxing, stress-free week. There are only 15 more shopping days till Christmas. I found this out when I overheard my mom on the phone telling someone that she’s doing EVERYTHING and the stress is making her roots turns grey.

Why do hoomons stress so much? Christmas is meant to be a joyous celebration, but with the pressure to get presents bought & wrapped & mailed and holiday cards addressed & stamped & mailed… the joy quickly turns to angst.

Good thing I’m a cat. We have staff to buy our presents and a mail our Chrispmouse cards.

I hope you are enjoying the review of my Case Notes on my first case, The Dancing Ghosts. Looking back on this particular chapter, I have to admit I smiled a lot while reading Dori’s parts. Except for when she threw up on Blunden’s Oriental. I wonder if he ever found out? The grass Dori barfed kinda matched the color on his old rug.

Anyway! Season Two of Sherlock Herms Purranormal Mysteries starts January 27th. I can’t wait to see what happens. Seriously. Mom has been busy doing Christmas stuff and I’m still waiting for us to begin work on Season Two. (sigh!)
