Product Review: #Rocco&Roxie Stain & Odor Eliminator

Hi, it’s me, Dori, the purrrfessional pet product reviewer for the Wonderpurr Gang. Today I’m going to review Rocco & Roxie Stain & Odor Eliminator.

At our house we have … *counts on claws* four girl cats and six boy cats. That bears repeating. SIX boy cats. That means there are odors galore! Especially when one of them boy cats gets a burr under his tail and whizzes on something to show his displeasure. *Sigh!* You never catch us girl cats doing such disgusting nasties.

So, it goes without saying we’ve tried a lot of odor eliminating products. Some of them worked pretty good for awhile, but then suddenly they stopped. Maybe the moon wasn’t in the seventh house, and Jupiter wasn’t aligning with Mars… I don’t know. But because they stopped working, my parents had to keep buying new products with the hope that one of them worked.

Then offered my mom the opportunity to try  Rocco & Roxie Stain & Odor Eliminator. She figured she had nothing to lose, and accepted the product. And wouldn’t you know, the very day it arrived, she had the opportunity to see if it really worked.

May I present Public Enemy Number One:

Opie: Public Enemy Number One.

Opie: Public Enemy Number One.

This is Opie. The boy cat I was referring to who has a perpetual burr under his tail. He’s super particular about who comes into our house, and who enjoys our backyard. If he doesn’t like some smell you innocently brought into the house on your shoes…

Opie NO! (That’s my mom.)

Damn it, Opie! (That’s my dad.)

Hee hee hee. (That’s me, snickering behind my paw that Opie is getting in trouble.)

Ahem! (This is, urging you to get on with your review, Miss Dori.)

Oh. Sorry. Back to my review.

As you may know, my mom is a cat magnet. She attracts a couple strays a year, which is how all of us, the Wonderpurr Gang, got our Forever Homes. Sometimes they stay, sometimes they leave. But while they’re hanging around our home, they bring their foreign stinks with them, and that upsets Opie, who likes to have his yard stink free.

Meet Rupurrt, our newest stray:

Rupurrt: He's Homeless

Rupurrt: He’s Homeless

Rupurrt has been stinking up our yard since last winter, but he’s pretty feral and has avoided all attempts at trapping. However, recently mom has gained Rupurrt’s trust, so there is hope he will soon be neutered and vaccinated. In the meantime, to prep him for the coming change in weather when the temps dip down uncomfortably, Mom has set up a house for him to use. It’s a nice house. Many ex-strays have used it over the years. But when Mom put it in the yard for Rupurrt to get used to, Opie saw it and …

Oh no! (mom)

What a brat! (dad)

Hee hee. Opie’s in trouble. Opie’s in trouble… (guess who?)

This happened the very day delivered Rocco & Roxie’s Professional Strength Stain & Odor Eliminator to our door. Notice… Professional Strength. Opie is a professional whizzzer, and so Mom had high hopes this product would clean Opie’s pee off Rupurrt’s house, and Ru would actually use it…and not pee over Opie’s pee in order to mark it for his own…which has happened a lot with past strays.

Dori reads directions on bottle of Rocco & Roxie Stain & Odor Eliminator.

I read my mom the directions: Remove the pee with paper toweling. Apply a liberal amount of Rocco & Roxie Stain & Odor Eliminator to the affected area (like, the entire fweakin’ house!)

She allowed the surface to dry, then applied it again…and again. Cuz at this point, my mom is like the walking wounded when it comes to products that don’t live up to their big promises.

She was tempted to scrub the house with dish washing detergent and then spray it again, but I reminded her I was doing a review, and also she needed to know if Rocco & Roxie really had a product that worked. So, she released El Whizzo (aka Opie) into the yard. And you know what he did?

He sniffed Rupurrt’s house… and then he turned around… and walked away. In fact, he has ignored Rupurrt’s house ever since, and its been a month as of today!

And that has given my mom huge hope that finally she has found a product that actually works. Giddy with success, she sprayed the back door where our raccoons like to hang out until Mom brings them kibble and peanuts, but their odor sometimes gets Opie’s panties in a bunch. And then she sprayed where our dad usually leaves his garden shoes (they always have some kind of interesting odor.)  And so far, Rocco & Roxie Stain & Odor Eliminator is keeping its promise.

But don’t take my word for it. Stop by and order your own bottle. You can’t have ours. We’re keeping ours.
